What To Do in Paris' 10e Arrondissement

Jul 10, 2025

We love the 10e arrondissement of Paris and we know you’ll love it, too, once you get to know it! This neighborhood has so much to offer in the way of food and drink, while maintaining a bit of that local, residential energy in some areas and total party blocks in others. We’re not going to preface it with much - let’s dive right in.

What to See

Artazart

Our favorite shop in this area along the canal, Artazart is a visual design and photography bookstore. The kids section in the back is well worth a visit if you have any extended family that love books, and there are a lot of other cool art books to browse. Bonus! They even have one of the few indoor Space Invaders you’ll find while hunting through Paris. If you walk along the triangle of streets here - Rue Beaurepaire, Rue de Marseille, and Rue Yves Toudic, you’ll find other adorable local shops and boutiques that are great for souvenirs… or just to treat yourself.

Where to Eat and Drink

Coffee

Café Margo

Café Margo opened a couple of years ago, and is run by Martina and Tom, the nicest couple around. They have delicious coffee, some amazing pastries, and you’ll always receive a warm welcome. Tip: In the summer, try their espresso tonic. Extra tip: Strike up a conversation with the owners about bikes and you’ll be there all day!

Perlant

Did you say cardamom and pistachio butter bun? No? Well you should: say it just after a “je prends” and right before a “s’il vous plaît”. Be sure to add a cup of specialty coffee to the order and your day will be off to the perfect start. This is one of the best combinations of coffee and in-house baking you will find while you’re in Paris. On the go? Grab some of their sourdough treats to keep you fueled throughout your day of wandering the 10e.

There are tons of coffee shops in the 10e arrondissement that we could recommend, including Radiodays, Bonjour Jacob, the list goes on. If you’re a coffee fanatic and you don’t have our guide yet, you’re seriously missing out. We have over one hundred (yes, we counted) coffee recommendations in our guide, Paris in My Pocket, and we’re constantly updating it with new bangers, or removing ones that start to slip (rare). If you want to have the best time in Paris, what are you waiting for?

Food

SaAm

If you’re looking for a filling and fresh Korean bento box, head in the direction of SaAm. Grab yourself a couple of goabao (like little fluffy bao tacos) and head to the canal for people watching and sunbathing. Everything is good, and we always jump for pork, but their miso beef is the sneaky surprise here. And even though their fries are top notch, don’t shy away from the salad option. It’s heartier than most.

JJ Hings

Ice cream counts as a food recommendation, right? Because it would be a bummer if you’re into ice cream and miss out on a cone from JJ Hings during your visit to the 10e. Or their famous ice cream sandwich! Made with New Zealand ice cream and real fruit, JJ Hings will satisfy your cravings for a cone, an ice cream sandwich, or something extra special, depending on what they’re serving that day.

Drinks

Le Verre Volé

A Parisian classic, Le Verre Volé remains deserving of its spot on various “best of Paris” lists, and is a great place for not only a drink but a tasty supper as well. If you’re just looking for a drink, though, you won’t be able to sit and linger. Instead, grab a bottle, pay the corkage to open it, and head down to the canal.

Brussels Beer Project

If you’re in the mood for a casual beer on a terrace or even to go to the canal, hit up Brussels Beer Project. This is one of the best places in the neighborhood for craft beer. It’ll have something for everyone, from a bitter IPA to a crisp blanche. They even have some 0% choices for those who want to knock back a cool one but stay sharp. We wouldn’t recommend eating here, but planting yourself for a few rounds of drinks is always a good choice.

Abricot Bar

Looking for something that’s more of a cocktail energy? Check out Abricot Bar, a California-meets-Paris creative cocktail bar located just around the corner from the canal. Their cocktails are delicious, their barsnack are vegan (but you’d never know it is), they have live jazz on Sundays, and they recently launched to-go cocktails, meaning on a balmy evening you can pick up a few jars and, you guessed it, head to the canal.

Best Places to Hang Out

Canal Saint-Martin

There’s something magical about the Canal Saint-Martin. It’s where Parisians go when they want a simple solution to a great day out. During the day, it's all leafy shade and calm water, with people dangling their feet over the edge, sipping coffee from nearby cafés, or having lunch with colleagues. By evening the vibe shifts: friends gather on the banks with bottles of wine, you’ll hear the strumming of a guitar or two, and everyone’s ready for a good time. It’s the kind of place where you can linger for hours without doing much at all, and that’s exactly the point. In such a busy city, we need these moments on the canal.

And if you'd rather have a cushion for your picnic, just across the water where the canal bends, you’ll find the Jardin Villemin - Mahsa Jîna Amini Garden. Absolutely packed in the summer, it’s a great alternative to the canal while maintaining the vibe.

We can’t stress this enough - the 10e is the best. We have tons of incredible food recs (French, breakfast buns, small plates, Chinese, Lebanese…) in our guide that we don’t want you to miss out on. There is never a good reason to have a bad meal in Paris. We guarantee you won’t be disappointed if you use our Guide to plan your trip. We’re so confident in it, we’ll give you a refund if you’re not 100% satisfied.

But if you still need convincing, check back here tomorrow for what to do in the 11e arrondissement, another one of the best places in town to eat, drink, and lose yourself to the night.
